PRP - Platelet Rich Plasma therapy has been developed in aesthetic medicine in 2006. It used in UK, Japan, and Asia, Europe to rejuvenate and slow down the aging process.
Platelets release growth factors that assist the human body to repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue.
Facial PRP procedure Melbourne
Plasma therapy is performed in 1 session and takes under 1 hour.
We take a little quantity of blood from your arm in exactly the same way as when you have a simple blood test. Your collected blood is then immediately ‘spun down’ in our centrifuge to extract the precious straw coloured serum that contains your body's essential repair cells.
Then your activated cell serum injected into your numbed skin using a microfine injection. Your natural repair factors are therefore delivered directly into areas of wrinkled, thinning, sagging, discoloured or damaged skin. The facial injection process takes 5 to 10 minutes and all areas of the face are usually covered. We can also treat anywhere on your skin, for example, scalp, neck, décolletage and back of the hands.
Using your enriched plasma permits the body to heal faster and more efficiently creating a network of collagen. Because your plasma (autologous) is used, there is no danger of disease transmission, anaphylaxis or neoplasia.
Unlike a invasive face lift procedure there is no post procedural pain and you can return directly to your normal lifestyle. There are no major risks or side effects.
There is no danger of over stimulation. Nothing can be safer than by using your own activated repair cells to improve your face

Deeper Wrinkles and Scars
The cause of wrinkled or sagging skin lies in the second layer of skin, the dermis. In the dermis, the collagen has progressively weakened with time, becoming thinner and loose.
Collagen Induction Therapy works by stimulating the collagen in the dermis to become thicker and tighter thereby improving wrinkles, sagging skin and acne scars.
CIT using dermal roller fine needles to penetrate the first layer of skin (epidermis) to target the dermal collagen. The needles used are so fine that the epidermis rapidly heals without any sign of being penetrated. The end result is that the dermis has been stimulated to undergo remodelling whilst the epidermis quickly returns to normal.
When combined with plasma therapy new collagen formation increased by around 2 to 5 times and also allows the Regen serum to better penetrate through all skin layers.
How long do the effects of Therapy last?
The new collagen produced by plasma therapy and collagen induction therapy lasts for a long time, unless the skin is further damaged by sun exposure, smoking, or other external factors. As the skin ages, some of the new collagen will also age. The duration of results vary from person to person but should last for years.
