Meditation – myth and practice

There are many things in life that are beyond our control. However, it is possible to take responsibility for and to change your state of mind and enhance your spiritual enlightenment.


Meditation relaxes the body and calms the mind. When you meditate, you detach from your habitual thoughts and worries by focusing on the sensations of the present. By engaging with a particular meditation practice one learns the patterns and habits of the mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. The experiences have a transformative effect and usually lead to a new understanding of life.
