Cosmetic Botox for a little girl in USA… Believe it or not!

Reportedly, the “Botox child” Britney has been removed from her mum care over the weekend. Regardless of mum’s motives for injecting her 8 year old daughter with Botox (for wrinkles!!!! WTF???) and giving her regular waxes, it was the wrong thing to do.

Child protection officers concluded their investigation with the removal of 8-year-old Britney from her mother’s care.

Everyone needs to know that injecting Botox, particularly when it's done incorrectly and not by an experienced doctor, can cause side effects, including problems breathing and swallowing, let alone the phycological damage when performed on children (again, for cosmetic and not health reasons).

Please vote for Botox by doctor

Yes, I completely agree with this statement. It's a matter of knowing where to source your high quality your skincare in Melbourne, as well as the topical vitamins. Injested supplementation can also be recommended, depending on the skin's and its barrier functions condition

Hi Drew,

Thank you for your post. Unfortunately, burns and pigment changes can happen after IPL skin rejuvenation treatments. Luckily most of the side effects are only temporary. Treatment of these unpleasant side effects is possible and depends on the "age" of the side effect.

Most well trained practitioners I know that operate in Melbourne laser clinic and Melbourne skin rejuvenation centers will offer some form of treatment to help skin heal faster.

In the first instance I would go back to the clinic where treatment was performed to get some help.

Wow, during my time here at the melbourne laser, skin & wellness clinic I have become so inspired with the large amount of clientel that continue to truely endulge & treat themselves to a weekly, monthly ritual of clinical treatments.

Enriching their souls, minds & skin with wonderous antioxidants & increasing their knowledge continously by increasingly keeping up to date with new products, specials and most importantly purchasing a range of benefical homecare to suit their individual needs.

Melburne, I am extremely impressed with the large volume of calls & everlasting consultations which is just comforting to know, that there are so many individuals out there that are willing to make a change to help prevent, restore & reverse the skins of aging as believe it or not ... its never to late to make a change & clearly this has been a remarkable journey to work alongside all you motivated & supportive people.

Have a truely wonderful new year & hope to see you all soon…

With IPL bikini line/ pubic hair removal you can avoid cuts, irritation, redness, boils, pimples, ingrown hairs and any discomfort. I must admit IPL hair removal is one the most effective procedures available today for getting rid of unwanted or excessive hair.

Hi Gemma,

Aquamid is a type of anti-wrinkle injection classified as permanent filler which never really gets broken down by your body. It consists of 2.5% polyacrylamide hydro gel which is a stable, non-toxic and biologically inactive component. The transparent gel is odorless and pH neutral and since it's insoluble it becomes part of your soft tissue. It is safe, very stable and does not move from the injected site.

The cost of treatment is $1200 and most people like to have it retouched after years of wear as your facial contours change as you age. Just like with any other injectable treatment a little bit of bruising is possible. Because it is sterile and is administered by a medical professional in a sterile, controlled environment the rate of infection is just as low as with any other anti wrinkle injectable treatment.

One thing you need to make sure of is that you are happy with the fullness of the injected site. It is necessary for you to go through a non-permanent filler first to ensure your complete satisfaction as once Aquamed s administered it's there to stay, so to speak.

You also need to know that when you move onto a permanent filler you cannot go back to a temporary one.

Aquamed can be administered at our clinic in Chadstone. The procedure is very quick and there is no down time. Just drop us a line to info@chadstone-wellness.com.au if you'd like to book yourself in for a complimentary consultation and/or treatment.

I hope this helps.

Hi Enrique,

Thank you for your comment. It is true - each IPL and laser distributor will tell you their device is the best one on the market. They'll also give you a hundred reasons as to why and every one of them will sound convincing enough for you to believe them... which only makes things that much more confusing...

Making a decision to purchase a professional IPL device is a decision that needs a little more than just an "ask around". Opinions between professionals vary due to many factors. Experience with a particular IPL or Laser device may be just one of these factors. Mainly it's a matter of personal preference or knowing well a distributor or manufacturer of a particular IPL machine.

The truth is is takes a little bit of time to learn about the physics of light and variations between various IPL machines and Laser devices for you to make an informed decision. Going by somebody else's personal preferences is not a good business strategy.

Knowledge is power and it will help you make it or break it. So learn all you can by reading books and publications on the subject and if you are really serious about it send us an email to find out about the professional IPL training course we offer.

I hope this helps

Hi Suma,

Thank you for sharing your story and I am sorry to hear about the bad experience with IPL hair removal that you had.

As a general rule IPL is safer and softer on the skin that a laser device would be. This is providing you are being treated with a quality IPL device, by a highly skilled hair removal specialist and all the contraindications to your IPL treatment have been taken into consideration. We in our Melbourne Laser Clinic see many patients with various hair and skin conditions. Some of the most frequently seen contraindications to both IPL and Laser treatments that may cause a reaction of this nature include recent sun exposure, spray tan on the area that you treat or some antibiotics, antidepressants, herbal supplements etc.

The importance of a test patch prior to IPL hair removal or IPL skin rejuvenation treatment cannot be stressed enough, particularly for darker skin types, especially if an operator is somewhat new to the industry. Although usually hyper-pigmentation appears within a couple of days following an IPL test patch it is recommended to wait 4-7 days after a test patch for people with olive skin and up to 21 (!!) days for people with very dark skin. So use this as a guide for your future IPL treatments.

I hope this helps

Do you know any doctors who perform Aquamid in Melbourne? Is the product safe because i 've heard they may incur some complications in the future as infection.

There are lots of different methods of pubic hair removal but laser removal is the only permanent one i think. They make easy to use creams that are completely safe and are pain free to use and are also very inexpensive. Shaving is probably the most inexpensive way but it is the least effective. Then waxes are effective but can be quite painful. My personal favorite is the hair removal cream.

Hi all,

I want to share my experence with IPL which is really bad. I had the traditional Laser the first time and it was effective. The second time I went to IPL - which is supposed to me more effective and having less side effects. But the IPL left five dark burnt scars on my face . Now I am freaking out dont know what to do.

But definitely IPL is mush riskier especially for people with my skin type - I have brown skin and tans very easily.

IMP: when they do patch test wait for atleast couple of days before going for treatment. B'coz for me the patch test scar surfaced after one day.

There are really a lot of cellulite treatments or reduction programs available nowadays. We're at the age of technology when treatments promise a unique 3-5 or even 15 inch loss after treatment, we're also in the age of non-invasive treatments which comes on a bit expensive deal.

Treatments really vary with the body weight and the skin's and body's response to the treatment ingredients and ways.

A very interesting read!
